Lingmo OS Community Edition End User License Agreement

Effective date: to be filled in

1. General

Lingmo OS Community Edition (the "System") is an open source operating system
built on Debian. This agreement sets out your rights and obligations when using
the System. Installing, starting or using the System means that you have read
and accepted this agreement.

2. Licensing and free software

The System consists largely of free software released under the GNU General
Public License (GPL), the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL), the Apache
License, the MIT License and other free software licences. For those components
you have the rights those licences grant, including the freedom to run, study,
modify and redistribute them.

The complete licence texts are available at:

  /usr/share/common-licenses/
  /usr/share/doc/<package>/copyright

Where this agreement conflicts with the licence of a component, that component's
licence prevails.

3. Third-party components

The System includes third-party components from the Debian project and the wider
community. Copyright in those components belongs to their respective owners and
they are governed by their own licences. No additional warranty is offered for
them.

4. No warranty

The System is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied,
including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose and non-infringement. You use the System at your own risk.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers and
contributors of the System are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental,
special or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use,
the System, including but not limited to loss of data, interruption of business
or loss of profit.

6. Your obligations

You agree:

  1. not to use the System for activities that violate the laws of your
     jurisdiction;
  2. not to remove or alter copyright notices and licence texts that accompany
     the System or its third-party components;
  3. to comply with the requirements of the relevant component licences when
redistributing the System or modified versions of it.

7. Privacy

The System requires no account and does not collect usage data in the background.
Optional features such as the User Experience Program are off by default. See the
Privacy Policy shipped with the System for details.

8. Changes to this agreement

This agreement may be revised as the System evolves. Revised versions ship with
system updates and carry a new effective date.
