Hmmm. Then you don't know you are thinking, hence do you think at all?
I think there is a definition problem here. I agree that a lot of (my)
thinking does not manifest itself as a reasoning in words. At an
non-descriptive abstraction level, similarly to the fact that I don't dream
in "pictures", and that I can't recall a "picture" or "music" in memory.
I would not call this "non-cognitive" thinking, as I can be in an active state
of resolving a problem, only doing that and will be distracted by the
"distractions in Asia".
