We are trying to organize the resources to have a
motherboard designed and manufactured which is the most
open architecture possible. This would facilitate the
recycling of donated computer hardware for use by NGOs
and their personnel.

I in particular am also involved in the design and
manufacture of the DC-PC, a desktop PC that runs off
12vdc for off grid locations. http://www.dc-pc.com

Would like to see:
both AT and ATX power jacks
both PS-2 and AT mouse & Kybd jacks
both 72 & 168 pin DRAM
both ISA and PCI slots

Mouse, kybd, printer, drive, or any other on ribbons
from DIP pins on the mthbd so that any AT or ATX case
could be used.
