This is a binary of the rc shell, version 1.4. It uses 8 bit clean GNU
readline library for command line editing. Default path is 
(/bin /usr/bin /usr/local/bin). The readline library doesn't include
vi mode, because I don't use it, and this wasn't meant to be a public
"port". 

There is a problem in rc's signal handling that I have not had time to
chase down. It may cause accidental logouts if you send signals to rc
while it is doing something. Fixes are welcome.

Rc was compiled with gcc 2.2.2d7, lib 4.1, with jump tables, with -O3
-m486 compiler switches. Kernel was 0.98.5.

You need to have 
set use-meta-bit Off
in your ~/.inputrc to enable 8 bit cleanness.
